The project is linked to Cuckoo Day festival, traditional cultural event that takes place in Branesti, Ilfov County.
The project will strengthen the cultural identity of the village and will highlight a local tradition and Romanian traditional arts and crafts. In the Cuckoo's Day Festival will encourage cultural diversity by inviting bands, artists and craftsmen from Germany, Bulgaria and Romania at the 2015 edition.
Ethnologists and geographers will participate in a research objects, data and documents from the collections of local teachers. They will be investigated why parts and materials woven or embroidered clothing, colors, accessories and techniques used in traditional costumes Brăneşti.
The project will contribute to preserving cultural heritage by making masks and costumes. Partnering with NOproductions will be materialized in presenting workshops and cultural development ideas for students in Brăneşti. Another festival is expected to increase the visibility Cuckoo Day with 10% of the 2015 edition.
